Paul and I are getting ready to go ‘home’ to France. For most of the last thirty-five years, returning to France has been ‘going home’. But in this season of our lives, we’re spending more time in the States, and I literally have another ‘home’ here. So it gets a little confusing.

However, one thing is for sure, these months back in the US have been filled with many, many ‘hugs’ from the Lord. Ever since I began my publishing journey, 25 years ago, I’ve said that getting a letter or email from a reader or, better yet, getting to meet a reader in person, it’s like getting a huge hug from the Lord.

Some people comment at book signings, “Wow, you must get tired of signing your name!” The short answer is “Nope. Never.” Every signature I pen in one of my novels is another huge hug, an answer to prayers I prayed, starting when I was a child and continuing up through my young adulthood: “Lord, if you want to do something more with this gift of writing that You’ve given me, please show me.”

And He has. Again and again and again. Through you, my precious reader. So take a few moments to enjoy these short slideshows (two because I couldn’t figure out how to make it just one) of my author life over the last few months. Who knows, you may find yourself in one of the photos.

  2. Was so good to see you in SC. Enjoy the journey to one of your homes. Leaving so many family members here does change the dynamics a bit.
